Some people believe that the United States is on the verge of another terrorist attack and that attempts are thwarted all the time that the American public doesn't hear about.  It stands to reason with so many vigilant terrorists out there that they will eventually be successful at wreaking havock on US soil.  The threat could come in one or multiples of many forms, be it biological, chemical, nuclear, radioactive, or technological among others.

Some believe that with President Obama now in office that counter-terrorism will be lower priority than it was during the Bush administration and that we are ever more vulnerable to an attack.  It has been a while since 9/11, and many people have forgotten about the horrors that terrorism can bring to the country.  It stands to reason that they will eventually be successful in some form or fashion.
