 Do you believe in intelligent life on other planets? Some not only believe that life exists on other planets, but that they are going to come and see us in the year 2012. A small group of followers believe that the aliens reside on a yet to be discovered planet termed by scientists as "Planet X" which exists beyond the orbit of Pluto.
To put it succinctly, the alien believers believe it is the long lost planet "Nibiru" which an alien race they call Anunnaki used to travel to Earth where they genetically altered primates to create humans to be their slaves. They explain this to be the "missing link" in the evolutionary chain. When the Anunnaki left the planet, they let us rule on our own until they return which they predict to be... yeah you guessed it... 2012. These beliefs come from a controversial text called "The Twelfth Planet" written by Zecharia Sitchin in 1976. This book is proported by its followers to be a literal translation of ancient Sumerian cuneiform writings. These 6000 year old texts are thought to be some of the earlier known form of writing.
